Hotel requires a credit card upon check-in for incidental charges. Rated 3 out of 5 by jhnvik from only fair to average I was charged a hotel amenity fee, had very few amenities, no refrigerator, poor connection for computer, no desk to work from, no business center. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by bamoou from A successful stay The check in process was smooth and the lobby-casino was great.
The room bathroom had issues. Looked like some mold in the boundary between the tile and tube was a little distasteful. Rated 4 out of 5 by Oli1dea from A good night sleep Not able to sleep. Very bad. Pillows were harder than a rock. Bring your own pillows or find a different hotel Date published: Clean and modern with a great buffet and food court! Shannon the pool manager made our 2 days at the pool so enjoyable for me and my family of 8. Great service. The only problem we had was Mother Nature and the winds!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Chipmunk from We had a ball. We enjoyed our stay. Not your regular Vegas casino. The staff made us welcome , with true meaning, as soon as we walked through the doors. Clean room with the nice pool view. Good choice of breakfast buffet and pool was excellent.
Felt really comfy there with my baby too. So we decided to stay one more night! A coffee maker in the room would'nt hurt! Also room remodeled very nice looking but bathroom never updated at all. Old and gross. The check in lady was friendly but a bit condescending however, the check out person was superb.
We have been before and it suits our needs. We do enjoy the breakfast and the other restaurants although this time just the Grand Cafe, which was super busy, but the food was good and quick. The waiter Francis was excellent.
There is always sooooo much food. We shared a meal - perfect! Long Walk from Registration to rooms. Also you are a long way from the casino area. If your staying for just a few days you mostly walk. Nice large, clean and updated room. One of the housekeeping staff looked very irritated when we asked for clean towels. I liked everything but wished there was a poker room. A very good value for the money The staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful.
My expectations were very much exceeded. Didn't like the uncertainty of what the room is going to cost. Then there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. All veteran businesses owner usually need a refrigerator for our medication or to have drinks to take our medicine. For the amount of the rooms, all rooms should have a refrigerator and microwave.
And it took me ten times to reach the front desk to address this concern and nobody answered. I am disappointed there is no veteran discount.
Sunset has use an outside service to book rooms and then doesnt honor veteran discount because we use the outside group. This needs to be changed and there should be a posted rate for veteran businesses. The pool was Cold! Was told it was heated when I called before booking and Filled with locals on the weekend. Beds was hard, pillows were like a rock I requested a room with 2 queen beds but didn't get it on arrival. Staff moved us to one the next day. The breakfast was good. Staff was nice. Our cabana fan when turned on sounded like it was about to drop on our guests.
Told we needed batteries in the morning and by 6 pm they never arrived. None of our guests could sit in the cabanas because of the heat. The staff and management where brought current of the issues when we found each one; but no one approached us to let us know the issues whould not be able to be fixed for the day. Only found out after approaching the staff for the 4 time about the misters. Highly disappointed with what we received for what we paid for it! The property was clean inside. And the staff was friendly and smiling! I hate having to walk through the casino when I Go to the restaurant… But that is Vegas.
It is also very large hotel and I tend to not enjoy places that are that big as much. It was Comfortable and clean. It had great security. There Restaurants at the property and a theater. Clean and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots to do and close to restaurants and shopping. Awesome pool! This is really ridiculous!!! I'm very disappointed.
The false price just killed it for me in the end!! Absolutely disappointed. I didnt like that i had no time to see the pool i hear its the best. I liked that this is located next to the mall and many other stores and restaurants. I had my birthday dinner at the Oyster Bar and enjoyed every bite of my meal. Which in Vegas is impossible to find. Rooms were newly remodeled but you could hear the room guests to our right so annoying.
No noise from other motels in the area so thankful for that. That they took out the Mexican restraunt out.
I was very disapointed it was much better food than the regular restraunt. The gift store is very good prices and good merchandise. Room was nice. The rooms rooms were a little dated compared to some more modern hotels we have been to. I would be a little nervous walking around the area at night but otherwise nothing much wrong.
The rooms were clean and tidy. There were plenty of shopping and eating places within a short distance of the hotel. Slots we're tight. Beautiful view from room. Area, clean, and no bad smell. Buffet good with price. Accommodation were good. I had called ahead and was promised a room up high and with a view of the airport. We love the buffet and the casino! Lovely wait staff and wonderful food.
There was no hot water in the shower. The amenities are good. We feel safe and secure here the security staff is courteous and efficient. I was forced to leave my car with a lot of items in it while parked there but felt safe in doing so. Just that one front desk staff that had a little bit of an attitude.
The housekeeper were very nice Anna and Carmella they stop to talk and welcome me just great customer service most of the front desk staff was great ther was just one that was not to nice talked with attitude. Add a frig, microwave and coffee service. Newly remodeled, very clean BUT no frig, no microwave and no coffee pot.
We were put in a handicapped room for some reason which was fine except the shower was just one end of the bathroom, not enclosed at all, and water went everywhere. Very good security. It was a great stay. The staff gave us a free upgrade for my birthday without even asking. Ended up with a super nice suite for a great rate.
The hotel has everything you need. Over all great stay, and will book there again. As in previous comments, some of the food servers were not very friendly. We got this "hurry up and order, I don't have all day" vibe from two servers. Oddly, these were women, the men were always friendly. We got a very nice room considering we booked the cheapest available. It's a long walk to the elevators to go up to the rooms but the rooms are worth the walk. The rooms were modern, very clean, and super comfortable. The rooms are also very quiet so you can get a good nights sleep.
Getting to the elevators was a long walk for a handicap person. There was no coffee maker in the room. We liked the facility in whole. No signs to elevator. I got lost on the second floor and could not find the elevator, I had to go back to my room and call the front desk and ask for directions to elevator. As far as the casino goes, they definitely need more cocktail servers, it took me over an hour to get a beer. Also, they closed our favorite Mexican restaurant, we were really looking forward to that. There was nothing to dislike about my stay.
The room was very clean. Very peaceful, the room was clean. The service was wonderful. The food was very tasty.
The staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was Mother Nature and the winds! KAYAK all none. Staff was very kind and always greeted me or said goodbye, great customer service. AAA Inspector Rating. Provided by Leonardo Building 6.
The whole floor I stayed on smelled of smoke. And I was given an ADA room for handicapped people so the bathroom wasn't comfortable to use at all because I am not handicapped nor do I need a wheelchair accessible shower. I actually found it to be more dangerous because the whole floor would get wet. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Great location.
Easy to get to the strip. Close to many outside restaurants. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated. When checking in, I asked where to park. Answer: in the back. When asked where the elevators were: Answer: around the corner. Short answers with minimal info. The room was remodeled but the bathroom looked dirty, old. The paint in the bottom of the door showed water damage. The area is safe. Long walk to the elevators for the hotel. Car charger was really slow. Buffet was awesome and great price. The hotel was located close to our event so it worked out great.
Charging station for ny car. We had to get a quick hotel as road closures due to snow. Then they reopened the roads within an hour and we were not allowed to get a refund and continue on our trip. Would have been nice to have free cancellation. The bed was hands down the worst I have ever slept on- hard in my opinion; the mattress cover made crinkly noises every time we rolled over or moved, and I believe the cover may have latex in it.
My eyes were swollen almost shut every single morning - didn't figure it out until the last morning when I realized it was probably an allergic reaction to latex. The sink in the bathroom was cracked - didn't cause us any problems, but it looks like hell.
The toilet flushing was so loud; its a wonder the neighbors didn't complain. The casinos on the strip must have much better ventilation systems because this is the only casino we noticed it in. As far as the "resort fees" - I'm really questioning what they are for at this casino. There is nothing special here. There is nothing offered for free, there is nothing provided for a bargain in any way.
There is a catch to absolutely everything. Wouldn't even melt soft butter. Dennis decided it was too much jam and he didn't need it. We laughed at the absolute absurdity of it. Did we complain - the second day, yes. The bed was miserable. We were exhausted from lack of sleep. I just wanted to move hotels. Guess what? Can't do that at the hotel because we booked through Booking.
Like it is our job to keep reminding them to find us a new room in their hotel. Very friendly staff. The facility has so many restaurants and activities besides the casino atmosphere. I was a very pleasant place to stay for multiple nights. The carpet in the room needed to be vacuumed. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room. The serving size of meals was large. No bathroom in the buffet. Centrally located. Not on the strip. Restaurant would good. Plenty of food. I was woken up by something biting me on your legs big?
I did not sleep at all after that wi are you nuts sleep at all after that with because of the discomfort of the itching and scratching. I will be contacting the health department for a follow up. Room should not be used until this is investigated more thoroughly. Not much. We were there to visit friends. So the casino was wasted on us.
Next time we will stay at another smaller smoke free hotel. I don't like that particular scent that pumps down the hallway to the rooms its pretty strong. There was no safe, no coffee maker, no refrigerator in the rooms. I was totally surprised at this. I had to keep my money and jewelry with me at all times. The cost was astronomical because of the CES Convention going on at the time, of which we had no interest.
I will write this week off in the future because there was nothing special about spending that much money for what we got. Typical casino hotel. Although, there was a breakfast special and we did not see the sign until we left and when we ordered the waitress did not tell us about it, even though what I ordered I wanted less than what was provided. She could have easily told us about the special since the changes I made were exactly the special at half the price.
That's Vegas Rooms with connecting door can be very noisy. Breakfast buffet not before am officially , but that is when the setup starts , not useful for business travelers. Regular breakfast OK, but not convincing. Extremely friendly and supportive personnel. Nice, newly renovated rooms. Very good bed. Dirty floor in hotel room - was not vacuumed. Not enough towels. Location , it was quiet. The bed is so hard and the other guest were so loud on the floor we were staying on.
I had to call security. Why no coffee pots in the rooms? A coffee pot. No laundry facilities. Had to go to a laundromat however it was a great experience in a local laundromat. Everything was compacted into one place. We had two teenagers that were totally entertained while we were in casino.
Great extras. The arcade was closed at the time we came there but there is a small arcade at the bowling area which is decent enough. I still wished the main arcade was open. Other than that there is really nothing bad it has everything that me and my girlfriend were expecting for our small romantic vacation. I like the fact the new remodeled rooms were beyond my expectations and also the feast buffet best breakfast at a reasonable price.
I like how the staff were welcoming and it was not crowded as much in the casino floors not sure why people do not like this place and it is next to outlet stores through walking distance. There is many parking spaces around. Guest in room nxt door left TV on highest volume until am Buffet need to change menu from day to day. I ate there for dinner and was offered the same food for brunch the next day.
What did they do reheat leftovers? To get to my room you had to use your room key in the elevators first and each time it did not work and I had to have the security guard use his key to get the elevator to work. My room was clean and quiet. Location was close to many shops and other restraunts, which I should have gone to instead of the buffet. Staff was very friendly and helped with directions. Could not beat the price of the room even after all the add on's. Your pay for view TV did not indicate there would a charge for movie watching. Since no information was given prior that there would be a charge.
