Also the recordkeeping was extremely casual- against our 21 room booking, for checking in 20th and 21st rooms at 9 pm- I was made to wait for 10 minutes because the shift at reception had changed and the new guy at reception had to confirm on phone from his predecessor whether to allocate the rooms to us.
Lastly, even after having a virtually complete hotel booking 21 rooms out of 23 in the hotel on second day of our stay, for a two - three hours late check out of three rooms- I was pestered with multiple calls. The late check out, I understand was not our right but the hotel never asked about our check out plans or forewarned us that these rooms shall be required. This signified lack of training and attitudinal issues. The lift was down for almost last 24 hours of our stay which is another pointer of management inefficiency.
Toaster was also available only on the last day of our stay. Although whatever limited spread was there was tasty and cooked well. We wanted to have a group dinner in one of the banquet halls of the hotel.
The location of dinner was changed from banquet to the restaurant without our consent. The management justified it to some communication gap but this appears to have happened because of their casual approach and we suspect it was given to a larger group as an afterthought despite being committed to us. The hotel compensated for the same by a nominal discount on the food bill but it completely spoilt the feel good factor of the occasion. Overall- under present circumstances i.
